Mail on Sunday Cognition Review

As if 14 songs on a debut album weren’t enough, Dublin-based electronic rock band Makings stretch to a hidden 15th track. Before the terminus, which may or may not be called Suffocate (Part 2), the joinery takes in stops that previously serviced the needs of Muse, the Sisters of Mercy and Radiohead. The short, sharp, Heart Attack is an instant hit. But they also sustain enthusiasm on long, ambitious tracks such as The Woolgatherer and the progressive rock-influenced Lunatic. One to check out.
